Not on the Dance Xcetera Team.  I don't have a problem with someone making a set that looks like a music video they saw providing it's a real life video and not from another dance that was created in Second Life by another director on a different team.  This is what happened to us, and I have no tolerance for it.  Even if the original creator gave permission to do so - which no director in their right mind would allow someone to copy their hard work - I would not allow it.

Being on this team is all about listening to the music, let it touch your heart and soul, and then create a beautiful masterpiece.  I've been doing this for almost five years now (director right out of the gate) so I know what's involved in creating one dance.  The time, the frustration, the linden - everything from build to costumes, picking out the right animations and mapping your moves - it's a lot of hours of hard work and it's disrespectful to use someone's else's idea and pass it off as your own.

I am not the dance police and I won't travel all over SL to watch any of my directors to make sure they aren't copying another director's work, but if word gets back to me and I see that it's been copied, a person's right to direct on this team will be stripped away permanently.  I've worked to fucking hard to keep this team going to end up with a reputation of having directors who copy dances.

Any team owner out there who disagrees with me shouldn't be in dance at all and definitely shouldn't own a team.  It's never ok to copy someone's work no matter who it is or what the product is your copying.  If you come across a team that allows this kind of behavior run as fast as  you can to a reputable team!

Spoiler, Spoiler Alert!

Kobo doesn't like having his photo taken before getting a chance to 'throw his face on.'  After all, mama used to say, "Always look yer best and wear clean underwear."  The spoiler however, isn't the fact that at the time this photo was taken, there was a very good possibility Kobo didn't have any underwear on, but it reveals a peek at our upcoming show on December 17th @ 7p hint hint here's the link:  LM to our Theater.
