Touring The Greenhouse

I was sitting around tonight - taking a very much needed break from my busy SL, and enjoyed the views from my home.  For those of you who read my last blog, you saw the outside, now I'm going to show you the inside.

I had the hardest time looking for a house for me.  My goal was to find something with an open feel to it, but most of the houses that I looked at for the size of my land just weren't cutting it.  That's when I found....the greenhouse.

Why not?  This is SL, and the idea of refurbishing something like a greenhouse into a home seemed like a really good idea.  And I'm glad I did it because I absolutely love it!  So here's the quick tour....click on any of the photos to enlarge them, and hit the "x" in the right hand corner when you are done.  :-)

To start, this is the greenhouse, so it will give you an idea how much space I am working with.

The Greenhouse

Kitchen

First, I have to warn you that one of my favorite colors is light blue, and my house is totally blue.  The kitchen is no exception.  Thanks to my daughter Cherry, I have a lovely kitchen from LAQ Décor, as a matter of fact with the exception of the furniture on the patio, the vanity, dresser and pose stand, all my furniture is from LAQ......Winter DiPrima is an excellent builder!  http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/LAQ%20Decor/68/62/34.  I love this photo, something about it is just cozy to me.  :-D

Living Room

The living room....yes it's tiny but it's mostly just me, my daughters have their own homes.  Okay so my tv isn't so large that it covers an entire wall like I've seen in some houses, but I zoom in anyway so it really doesn't make a difference how big it is.  When Cherry rezzed this out for me the first thing I thought was I just had to put a tv in the middle of it.

Bedroom

The bedroom area.  Plenty of room for a dresser and a vanity, as well as....a pose stand (the table with candles that doesn't go with the room. LOL)  I think that is the best looking pose stand I have ever seen, and trust me I have seen tons of them.  I keep it out permanently and I use it every day for dressing.

Patio

The patio.  A great place to sit back and relax, listen to the sounds of the birds, frogs, or crickets....depending on what time of the day you are visiting and watch the birds and butterflies flying around.

I tried to create a very tranquil atmosphere for me and I think I succeeded.  It will be a very long time before I ever change this place.  The best part about it is when you are here, you would never know that the areas around my land totally suck.  :-)

So that's it....that's a tour of my home.  Hope you enjoyed it!!
