Club Infinity

One day I wandered into Club Infinity to use the SLX machine, and in it's place was a rental space. I looked around and found that the entire club made a total transformation into a broken down building with ratty sofas, trash cans with fire in them, and lots of graffiti. It looks awesome! My friend Karl and his girl Tri were dancing in there and we got to talking. Myself along with Blade, spent the entire evening in voice conference with them, hanging out and having a great time. And that marked the beginning of my involvement back at the CI family. Snap is still the owner, but has taken partners, Gaidion Priestman and Karl Wopat, and they have completely turned the club into an awesome place. It wasn't long after that Blade was hired to be the clubs manager. And now, after several months, I have come out of retirement to dj at the club - only as a backup mind you, I get so busy with the day to day operations of my studio, coupled with my work on my new skins, and Blades businesses - I don't want to load myself down with a committed shift. But its going to be fun, to fire up the old broadcaster and get back on the air again. I'm covering a shift on Wednesday and I'm so looking forward to it!! And Blade has certainly jumped into his responsibilites with both feet.

There are new faces there, faces every day - and I reunited with some old friends and acquaintences - Silver Garfield, Tri Destiny, Cheyenne Legend, Kevin Nordict, Snaptick Laxness, TC Short, Gaidion Priestman......it feels pretty good - coming home. :-)

So if you find a night where you have nothing to do, come on down to Club Infinity and hang out with us, it's a guaranteed great time!!

Lavoxy Uriza - Second Life

I met Lavoxy while dj'ing at a club called Genesis. She was a dj there as well, who eventually became part owner of the business. She was a kick ass dj, and music surrounded her real life as well. When I left that club, I lost touch with the wonderful group of ladies who tried to pick up the pieces and make that club work when the previous manager left, but we all have paths that we chose and ours just went in a different directions. I found out last night that Lavoxy had a brother serving in Iraq that was killed, and the pain for her was too much to bear. She ended her own life as a result. This is the second time I have experienced a loss like this in game, and the feeling of helplessness is greater than if you crossed paths with that person in real life, because the degree of how much you know someone isn't as great as you would if they were sitting right in front of you. My friends and I have exchanged numbers and such and have told our families who to contact if something like this happened to any of us, because the simple reality of it is that most of the time, our friends in game are not crossing that line into our real life....they know us and we know them, but that never goes beyond ourselves into our family life. And when things like this happen, it's always a reality check in this virtual world, that there are people with feelings behind the avatars, and real life is never far from them.

My relationship with Lavoxy was strictly business, but she was my contact - she was on my friends list. Our paths crossed, and I am very sad for the loss of this beautiful person. My heartfelt sympathies go out to her family, and I pray that God gives them strength during this very difficult time.

Godspeed Lavoxy, may you finally find the peace that you have been searching for.
